Hello! My name is Monica Jennings and I am graduating from the Graphic Design program at DMACC this year. It has been an interesting last few years and I am SO excited to dive into my new career.
Prior to attending DMACC, I spent 15 years in the hair and beauty industry. I have extensive experience in providing hair services, customer service, managing, and I was also a cosmetology educator for 6 yrs in Ames. I have absolutely loved the beauty industry, but, after developing a severe allergy to hair chemicals, I decided it was time to move forward. I am a young graphic designer but also a seasoned professional and I can’t wait to meet you and your team!
I am seeking a part-time/full-time internship or job in graphic design. I am currently looking in the Des Moines/Ames areas. In the immediate future, I plan to take a few more photography classes and add to my skill set. I have a passion for family, music, laughing, painting, photography, and riding my electric bike on the Des Moines trails.
